M i selfish/free rider?
June 2003, I just begun my MBA (FAST; Financial analysis and trading system) class. This is an internet based virtual market where student join for trade stock, derivative and other financial instrument. Before join the class, every student need to submit for their pre trading strategy to the teacher. I always help a female student for prepare her pre- trading strategy (which usually done by male student for female student), assignment, report preparing and even making power point slide. One day I ask her to help me about a class assignment. She reply me, I m a selfish, free rider and so on. In that moment I was too socked and cant reply/answer her comment. Still I burn her comment. Now I want to ask, really I am a free rider??? Note, she was just my classmate and I had no plan to offer/bother her for anything like love or dinner or date.

- doesnt sound like it, but doesnt sound like the whole story either, maybe you got her at an off moment,
- No. She just didn't want to help you which means she is the selfish one and can't stand that about herself. That is why it came out that way. If she ever asks you for help again, you reply the same way she did with a twist. No, I am a selfish free reader remember, I wouldn't want it to rub off on you. It wont be mean, but enough of s sting (if she isn't to self centered to have overly thick skin) to make her realize she was wrong to say that to you. You give her a few minutes to stew in it, and then walk to her and say your sorry, but her comment was uncalled for and hurt. But if she does need the help you'll help her. Your not a free-rider at all.
- yerrrrrr,, your a free rider..t
