Criteria i should know to make the choice of where to borrow money for investing in shares?

hi, i'm considering to invest in shares but don't have enough funds to do so. I'm considering to borrow money from financial institutions. Is there any rules or criteria i need to know to choose where to borrow the money from? thanks

  1. The main rule is, you don't borrow to invest in stocks. That is highly risky and considering the terminology you used, I would imagine you don't have a whole lot of experience in investing. I would suggest that you not do this but rather find a good mutual fund to invest in while you learn more about investing. Good luck! pf101
  2. You dont trade using money you need to live on and you certainly dont borrow it. Pretty much everyone will do more losing than winning in the learning stage anyway so that would be like shoting yourself in the foot. If and when you ever get enough you could trade on margin or get into octbb stocks if you want to live life on the edge. But seriously start out on the right foot, get rich slooooww.
  3. Hi, Borrow and read these books from the library. They offer good rules or criteria that you need to know to invest in shares and the answers to your question. 1. The Intelligent Asset Allocator: How to Build Your Portfolio to Maximize Returns and Minimize Risk By William J. Bernstein 2. The Intelligent Investor By Benjamin Graham Good Luck
  4. Look like your question is the same as my current assignment on finance. Therefore, based on my research - to do the assignment of course - my first criteria will be interest rate. And there are a lot of other stuffs should be noticed. You can read this book: Financial Institutions and markets - Ben - Terry Hunt
