- Investing in stock market is really a good idea.. Before investing learn more basics about it.. If you are first time investor means just go to the broker office & get the guide from them.we cannot predict the future in stock market .Just take a look at the below link to get free information regarding stock market.
- Many people who know how it works have established solid records of losing money in the stock market. Being ignorant, you couldn't do worse than they have. Best way to make money on Wall Street, though, seems to be operating a hot food cart on the sidewalk.
- you could if you're lucky but i wouldn't bet on it !
- Suggest you buy some tax free ISAs. Stock market you could lose the lot.
- Sort of. It's important to understand the basics of a balance sheet, but Peter Lynch always said, pick a company that you like/use their products, compare them to competitors, if they still look good, invest. Yes, the more you understand the better, but if you find successful companies and try to understand their business and competition, you can pontentially succeed. BUT - it's like learning to walk, it takes 1 step at a time.
- Shares go up and shares go down, that is the way of the market. Try to take a look at some struggling companies that for one reason or another will always survive. Two at the moment are Eurotunnel and of course, Nothern Rock. It might take time to get any money from these though while they build themselves back up. Alternatively, you could take a look at "penny shares" and buy a lot of low value shares which probably won't go up but if they do, you'll make lots of profit in one go.
- Like any other form of gambling, anyone can make money on it without knowing how, but the chances of you making a profit are slim unless you know what you are doing. Best advice is to remember that you are gambling not against what will happen, but against what other people believe will happen. That's why the value of Northern Rock shares fell for no good reason whatsoever. People believed there was a problem, so they sold their stocks. This despite the fact that there was never actually the real risk of a shortfall of cash...until all the publicity created a stampede of course! Your bank should be able to let you set up a stock account...ask them.
- Its just another form of gambling. You may have beginners luck.
- Yes, it is very possible. Just find a mutual fund or an Exchange Traded Fund tailored to your personal level of risk. Since you're in the UK, you might consider checking with Barclays, as they have a pretty good selection of funds to meet your needs.
- probably not. Take some time and learn at least the "essentials". Play some free stock market games to see how you do before actually u suing your money. Also, a few pounds might not do the trick. Even if you have good picks your returns could be eaten up by omissions fees and taxes...save up a little more. In the US $10K is a good starting point and you have to be able to lose that money too.
- No need for big lecture on stock market. If you want to invest a bit of money and limiting the risk: - 1/ Buy low say high (obvious, but some people only buy high...well, the fall hurt more in those cases) - 2/ Buy in something you are interested in. Open your eyes Example....it is hot and sunny for the last 3 months...well buy in Ice Cream and Beverage Company. England Rugby team is winning and going to final...well, buy in company like ITV or BskyB...audiences might rise and therefore advertising and therefore revenue Walk in the street, and check out who's in charge most of the time...oops...Vinci there Vinci...buy then Hope my example helped you.
