Stock Markets Exposed

Does anyone do international stock investment?

I'm interested in getting into the Hong Kong market. Does anyone broker or know of a good firm for overseas investment?

  1. There are ways to buy Hong Kong stocks without buying them on the Hong Kong market. Many are listed on the U S markets. And there are mutual funds that invest exclusively in Hong Kong and China. TDF is one, CHN is another. CHL is one stock listed on the NYSE. Actually the mutual funds are a great way to invest in overseas markets. You get diversity and their expertise.
  2. You can invest in Chinese and Indian companies in the US, by buying foreign companies that offer stocks here in the form of ADRs. Here are 2 portfolios, the first has Indian stocks. The second has Chinese stocks: http://www.top10traders.com/ViewPortfolio.aspx?userID=13 http://www.top10traders.com/ViewPortfolio.aspx?userID=7 These are from http://www.top10traders.com - this is a free site that lets you create a portfolio of stocks with $100,000 in "play" money. Each day the site ranks the best performing portfolios, so you can see how your picks perform compared to other investors. You can read posts on investing from the best traders, as well as share your own investing ideas. There is a charting feature, so you can see how your portfolio performs compared to the S&P 500. Also, you can create your own "group" so that you can see how you are doing compared to your friends.
