7. For those of you that won't actually read it, here is something more to your liking: Freegans hate your ways and love your trash. They dumpster dive to meet their needs, and share with one another for free in a total boycott of our consumer centered economy. They are currently trying to take society back to the paleolithic age. It's a pretty Interesting article. It reminds me of the South Park episode where the towns were being ravaged by hippies. It seems to me that their hearts are in the right place, but their heads are up their ***es. I'm going to have to agree with Cartman on this issue. Sorry in advance to any of the 6 freegans in the world I may have offended with my response... wait... freegans don't have computers. Never mind, apology recinded.

12. interesting article. cant say that i have ever been dumpster diving. but i do try to get some things from thrift stores, and i do try to bike for transportation when i can. You can do a lot without making this sort of giant life altering sacrifice.

14. Evidentally Freegan's aren't concerned about the excesses of unbridled verbosity as contributing to the plethora of BS we have in "the system". This is typical "freegan" crap. Learn to write concisely, cogently and coherently.
15. Eating out of dumpsters is a good way to end up in the hospital with a host of diseases. Among other things such as bacteria and food at room temperature.... well, that's enough on it's own.
16. There are some really useful ideas in this lifestyle, that are used by people who aren't freegans. Wouldn't it be disastrous for freegans, though, if freeganism became a dominant lifestyle? If no one drove, then who would they hitchhike with? If consumer goods production really took a dive, then fewer trains would run . . .If fewer people threw away food, then freegans would go hungry. If fewer people worked for the evil complexes, then there would not be enough material for freegans to scavenge. And oh, my goodness, if lots of people decided to go live a feral lifestyle, that could be just as bad for the environment. Slash and burn, human waste contaminating "wild" areas. Um, it seems like a freegan is someone in a self-defeating lifestyle, and for the movement to work, it needs to stay quite small.
