If the stock market crashes (and I mean CRASH BIG TIME) should we expect martial law throughout the USA?
Yes, this is a hypothetical question, but I want to hear what others think about it. And please spare me the "Conspiracy" theories, comments...it is HYPOTHETICAL. They STILL have martial law in New Orleans 2 years after Katrina, so it isn't as if this current government is not afraid to use it. Dom, when has if the action is actually Constitutional or not ever stopped this administration? I don't recall Bush ever caring about laws or not. He has shown time and time again that he thinks he is ABOVE the law.

- You should expect that will be the time when La Raza tries to take back California, New Mexico and Arizona for Mexico. It will be a time when our country is in turmoil.
- The Government will be broke too, so will the military. Its impossible to enforce a martial law when their unfunded. But we would see some minute men.
- Don't count on it. A crash in the stock market would result in a massive loss of funds, affecting the government too. Martial law would be absurd, and unconstitutional for the given situation.

- Its a possible outcome. I would think the Martial Law would only be decleared in areas that it is needed. Big cities would be the most likely places since that is potentially where the most chaos would be. I dont think it would be blanket though.
