Public Comments

  1. The stock market will not crash. A item (something) will prevent it from droping. If it happens like in 1929 october, a system will automatically shut off the comupter, or w/e and a crash will be prevented.
  2. well it will go down but I don't think it would crash unless there is more bad news on the horizon...
  3. no i do not think so. the labor market is still tight with unemployment at 4.6%. we got allot of inflation out there too. the prices of everything is going up. the only downside is housing which is in a correction right now. then again it is just coming of a unrealistic boom. houses wherent meant to be flip every 6 months for 50% gains. normal gain on a house is about 5- 6% a year. it will be choppy for awhile though, given good buying points.
  4. Well If you check the newspaper archives, you'll see that it crashed in 1987 and the Savings and Loan went bottom-up.It happened in '92 but there was a Federal Bailout. The President says their will be no Bailout this time.
  5. No. We are in a market correction responding to the previous 6 years of cheap money and a booming housing market. In fact, the definition of a market correction is a 10% change and the last I had checked we were at 6%. The media has presented this thing as a widespread panic, but it is a natural and normal cycle the market is going through currently.
  6. The only way the market will crash again like the way it did the way in 1929 is if everyone pulls their money out of bank accounts and in all on their interest bearing assets.
  7. The stock market will crash. The question is not if but when. Maybe 1 year from now. Maybe 20 years from now. Maybe 220 years from now. It will crash. Trust me. History teachers certainly know history, but I didn't know they can tell the future too. LOL :) To say that the market will never crash is like saying this house will stand forever. Oh yeah? Termites, a tornado, or a hurricane will destroy it first. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing. The government cannot freeze the market. The government can close the market, but that doesn't mean that prices won't go down once the market is opened again. And by the way, what's the purpose of closing down the market? If something is got to go down, then you better let it go down. There is no point in holding back something which is destined to go down. The stock market is like mother nature. You can't fight with mother nature. Oh, yes, you can, but you'll lose eventually. ;)
  8. The US Gov. can freeze the market, just like on 911.
  9. No because of the FDIC.
