Watching stock market rise and fall from our own TV?
I know in China and Hong Kong, there's a live stock market channel that you can watch to see it risie and fall every second. And from there, you can call to either buy or sell. Do we have something like this in US? If so, what channel? How do we get the channel? And how do we buy and sell from home?

- You got CNBC and Bloomberg; I mean how interesting is watching a ticker really?
- There are also web site that feature the information.
- Olivia: I hesitate to give you an answer, in case you choose to rely upon it as your means for making buy and sell decisions about the stock market. CNBC is one of the leaders for talking heads on the market, but trust me, they are most interested in ratings and only talking about good news. If that is your idea of how to "invest" in the market, from the comfort of your home, you may not have a home after a while. Watch it for "entertainment" if you must, but as a measure for what to buy and sell, and when, your home area is in left field. From a professional.
- I watch the Asian markets first two hours of trading from the U.S. via Bloomberg Asia. Bernie Lo and Cathy Chang are my two favorite business reporters. Plus Haslinda Amin in Singapore. I guess CNBC would be the outlet for your needs.
- I second edgetrader's answer. If anything, watching the prices will just stress you out and lead inexperienced investors to make rash (usually bad) decisions. The bear market was EASY to predict for any financial professional at least 1-2 years ago (I don't mean the short term movements, but the overall direction). Yet none of the major news networks gave the public any warning. Anytime there was a problem, it was reported AFTER it was obvious to the public, and then after the short term SYMPTOM was handled, they would report the crisis was over.
