Stock Markets Exposed

Why does the U.S. news always talk about the Asian stock market instead of the Western ones?

On my internet news, it always talks about how the Asian stock market is doing. Most of the time, it doesn't even talk about how the European or US stock market is doing, even though it *always* talks about the Asian stock market. And this news service is American! Was this the case 10 years ago? Isn't it true that, back then, a U.S. news agency would focus on how the US stocks were doing? Are the Asian stock markets more important than the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ?

Public Comments

  1. simply cause its more active and exciting than the american one. lets all wave goodbye to USA's superpower bye bye
  2. The sun rises in the east.
  3. Its important to follow most of the stock markets around the world because most things are related. getting information on the US stock market is easy they probably just want people to know how markets in other countries are doing who wouldnt oridinarily go out of their way to look up other markets.
  4. they don't want to report something depressing.
  5. Possibly because the reports are about FREE MARKET stocks reports, not government owned and operated like the O'Bama Streak Stocks. And With regard to stocks, anyone plan on buying a vehicle from GM (Government Motors)? Having seen the way that government projects turn out, I don't think I want a vehicle that works only occasionally, is unrepairable and costs 10 times what the private sector could make it for. AND with an instruction book that weighs over 1,000 lbs.
  6. Asian probably will be the first area where will come out of present economical problem, so, the government what show usa that usa shoulb have confidence that usa economy will come after that. meanwhile, the asian market is doing well, this will encourage usa or europe to have confidence!
