  1. Silly question, however, I will say yes, you can definitely make money in all Market conditions. Volatility is the key. You can make money when the market goes up or down. On the flip side of that comment, you could lose it all very fast. Check out this message board to learn from some great traders. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=2346 You can learn a lot from these guys if you are a novice trader.
  2. Yes, it is very possible. You could expect to make 8-13 percent return on your investment providing you get good with it. To learn fairly quick, you could apply to become a Financial Advisor. Most brokerage houses (Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, Ferris Baker Watts, etc.) have training programs for their new inexperienced Advisors. The training is excellent. Hope this helps.
  3. Yes you can make money in the stock market. However, unless you are a day trader with a vast knowledge of how things operate, one month will not be sufficient for you to make good money. Right now it is harder to make money, because there is too much volatility, and many companies are going bankrupt. The honest best way to learn the market is to play it, invest in some safe stocks like google or GE. Next, get a few books, or look up online what means what. In a good month you will sound like an expert. But back to how much you will make, give it a year, most people make on average just over 10% on their money in a year.
  4. Yes. You can make lots of $$ in the stock market. You can also make lots of $$ playing the lottery. For a beginner like you, the odds are about the same whether you "invest" in the stock market or "invest" in lottery tickets. Get a masters degree in Finance and work for a brokerage firm for 10 years. Then you'll learn to make $$ in the stock market.
  5. Patience and studying are the most valuable things, and don't cost you anything. Practice trade for awhile, before putting money on the table. The proffesionals and experienced traders gain money by taking it from new guys.
