- open a dmat ac/trading/delivery account with indian online broker.I think.
- If you are from india right now you better go to your financial broker to open your account and tell your broker that you want to buy India stock that registered in USA market, but if you are in USA here now is more easy you just go to E-trade or Scottrade open account trough online or go to the office I suggest you go to Scottrade is Better than E-trade frm: putramas
- I assume you are out of India right now. Inquire for ICICI Bank, SBI or other online broker (Sharekhan, India Infoline, etc.) in your area. They will assist you opening the necessary accounts. From your side, they will ask for your valid photo identity proof and valid address proof. You will need to open a demat account (in which you will keep the shares), a bank account (from which you will pay them the money) and a trading account (in which you will place the buy or sell orders). All the three accounts need the same proof as I said earlier.
- Some Indian stocks called American Depository Receipts(ADRs) are listed in American stock exchanges NASDAQ and NYSE. It would be easy enough to buy them if you have a US brokerage account. Otherwise, you will have to be a Non Resident Indian to trade in the Indian market directly
