Another question....Can u specify to a broker which stock market to route your orders through so that u dont end up getting bad prices?

Yes why not. It is only possible if you have a Demat account. If you do not have a demat account no broker will allow you to do it. For this you will have to open a demat accout. For eg, if you have purchased shares from NASDAQ and willing to Sell them in Frankfut. Then u will have open a demat account in Frankfurt.
