Canning tomatoes on a glass cooktop range?

I would like to start canning my garden tomatoes and would like to use my large Tools of the Trade Belgique stock pot (to avoid purchasing & storing another large pot just for canning and also because the heavy aluminum bottom heats more evenly on my glass cooktop range). My question is this: could I purchase a canning rack to put inside my large stock pot and use that as a water bath canner for my tomatoes?
