  1. I will suggest you read the book title "When the market moves, Will you be ready?" by Peter Navarro. It describes what are the factors that affects the markets and how you should go about investing in the market.
  2. What you need to do is purchase a book for beginners regarding stock markets and investments. Maybe try one of the stock market for dumbies books. (Not implying anything, just those books can be very helpful when you are starting out with something). They will tell you all you need to know. Before you invest in the stock market, you should know a good amount about how it works, and a book like that will help you immensely. You need to know a lot more than the answers to the questions you've asked in order to be successful in the stock market. If you don't want to purchase the book, you can email me, and I will try to help you out as much as I can. Just go to my profile and click the email link or go to http://www.brienprivatefinance.com and click on ask a free question. Now to answer the questions: 1. You usually buy and sell through a broker. Most people now a days are using online brokers to buy and sell because the costs are much cheaper. 2. When you purchase stock, you are buying shares of the company. Meaning you are essentially purchasing a percentage of the company. The share price is what you see in the newspaper. It ranges anywhere from one cent (the otc bb stocks) to several thousand dollars (berkshire-hathaway)-The previously Warren Buffet owned company.
  3. every company or organization which are in the stock market divide their investment into SHARES, people and shareholders go and buy some shares from the company you should just take a look at the chart and you will find out how much each share cost, after a while when the company made a profit they divid this profin between shares, it means more share you own more money you earn BUT if the company lose they do the same and shares will cost less and it means more shares you own more loss you get, as you sguess it is very important to chose an approprate company to make profit after you decide to bye from what company and how much then go to the stock murket divide the money you are gonna pay to the cost of each share then go to the sell office and bye then you are a sshareholder. example: IBM company $215.3(each share) you want to invest &5000 then: &5000:$215.3= 23 shares after a while IBM make a profit and you will see on the chart: IBM company $230.8 then your shares costs: 23*$230.8=$5359.96 and it means you made a profit:&359.96 you can ghess if IBM shares reduce what would happen.(you loss)
  4. Nowadays it's very simple to play in the stock market. With internet you don't even need to go anywhere to buy stocks and there're many investment types available to retail investors. Just try http://www.independentinvestor.co.uk for you free advice, they also compare lots of spread betting, cfds and share dealing accounts. I visited it and chose Capital Spreads for my spread betting needs. I like dealing with FTSE100 (selling and buying it) and they have small spread. Just check out independentinvestor website to get the cost idea. But remember you need to do some hardcore research so don't rush
  5. Those charts in the newspaper are becoming antique, most newspapers are doing away with them, there are plenty of websites that supply this info free now, yahoo is great as an example.Use an online brokerage firm that has good beginner qualitys {like tutorials or easy to understand set up}, i use zecco, better then schwab, etrade, etc. they are the only ones with free stock trades, no minumums.. http://friends.zecco.com/r/a7a2877caab8102b8555
  6. There are two ways to study stocks or stock market. 1st is FUNDAMENTAL 2nd is TECHNICAL In FUNDAMENTAL you have to see future growth of company, industry, sector and economy. This is long run study. You have to invest in stocks. In TECHNICAL, You need to study graphs(charts), trends, pattern, parameters etc. Technical charts shows you exact entry and exit points and minimise your INSECURITY in Financial Market. So... All The Best!
  7. Stock market is not the place to play. It is a place to do business which needs hard calculations. You can make money from it provided you are ready to learn. It is easy to learn and make money from stock market.
  8. All dreams can be realized, as long as you do not dream something that is humanly unachievable. But, dreams can be realized with proper planning and with the help of strong willpower. However, before you apply both these, have a look at an easier way to gain success, i.e. money. You need strategies here too; some prudent strategies that help you to reap profits on your invested money. It is to buy and sell stocks online. Consider this, someone needs money to start a business and you lend it to him. But here instead of taking any interest from him, you ask him to give you some percent of the profit he makes with the business. When you are buying stocks you are actually doing this, you buy stock or shares from some company and give it some money to invest in the business. As the business starts earning profit with your money, you have some share in the total capital of the company. The company gives you some share of profit. You do not do anything else and you are paid the profit your money earns. Your money grows by itself and offers you profit. You must be feeling the urge to dive into this buy-sell stock business right now. But wait. As told before, it is a business the company does with your money. Businesses may end in a loss or a profit. And if the company faces a loss, it will charge a loss on your share too, resulting in a fall in your share price. Therefore, it is essential to observe caution while doing stock trading. But, don’t get disappointed. If you use your experience and take some expert advice, your chances of losing are very less. A good and efficient stockbroker can help you in this context. Brokers are people who help you and suggest you the best stock to buy and hence increase your chances of gaining through the stock market day trading. He, in exchange of his service, charges a small amount of commission. However, in the world where computers and Internet have invaded everything, it is quite common that you can get this all stuff online. So, try finding a brokerage site. It is better that you find one online. Online brokerages site helps you in making the right decision by offering the right products and right information. User-friendly site can really guide your money well by deciding the ‘best stock to buy now factor’. Several options should be there when you open an account and it must suit your budget and investment plan. Compound Interest Return and Dollar Cost Averaging can be great features. Dollar cost averaging is a system where investment is made at regular intervals over the same dollar value of shares. The use of the Compound interest return by this site really maximizes your long-term profit. Monthly, weekly or daily automatic investments provide you yet another comfortable option. The firm should charge low commissions.
