Virtual Stock Trading?
Eventually I want to do some investing (not professionally). But before I dare actually risk any real money, I've been spending a lot of time reading and educating myself about it. I've still got a good deal of learning to do, but I thought that something great might be a virtual trading arena, a simulated stock market, if you will. Are there any such tools where you can invest virtual money in a virtual market and experiment with different investing strategies? How similar is the Investopedia simulator to actual online trading with a discount broker? The more realistic the simulation is, the better I'll be able to learn.

- Only brave hearts venture stock markets - particularly if one has burnt fingers. With everything going against -inflation, crude, political uncertainly, global recession, it is advised to stay away from market. BUT, BUT...... if you have not lost anything yet; and if your risk appetite is not too low and if your time horizon is 3-5 years, take my words, the likes of Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Industries, State Bank Of India and Punjab National Bank may give more than 100% returns.
- whenever i look at answers, if someone that has he Q+As private, i always think twice about using a website he promotes. there are surely good reasons to block Q+As. however spammers do that too. i think if i were looking to trade, i'd look to see if the brokers i might deal with had "practice" systems. i'd be surprised if they don't. i googled - stock trading simulators - and got lots of hits, like:
