- When you buy shares in a stock through a broker the term is ---you "place an order "---right ? This is a request to "buy" the shares --(Sometimes you specify that you will pay a certain amount for the shares ---you also have the option to buy "at the market " price---meaaning you'll pay whatever sellers are asking at that moment ! Following whatever instructions you have given (either at a specific price which you have named or "at market" ---the broker goes to work --- When he has bought the shares for you following your instructions he informs you in trading terms-- "Order is executed" In laymen's terms " OK ---your shares were bought at such and such a price " 2. You have a good portfolio---you might want to add Home Depot or Lowes + Intel + Walgreens + Washington Mutual ---for diversication ---(meaning that your stocks are in different types of companies so that you won't be affected as much if one area of the market has a bad day ! Good luck !
- try chinese diversified ETFs. EEM + FXI.
- If you don't know what "O.R.D.E.R. E.X.E.C.U.T.E.D" means, then you shouldn't be messing around with this stock "game"... Cuz you won't be using your monoply money here.
