What site should I gof or investing stock?

I think about E-trade since they had free trade fee in promotion, but are they the best choice? I wanted a value and good service.

  1. I use ETRADE and the service is fantastic. I make use of a checking account and debit card, as well as trading stocks. There are cheaper companies per trade, but overall, ETRADE is pretty good.
  2. If you are just starting out I would not reccommend etrade because although they are quite good, their commisions are high after the teaser period. Zecco.com is the cheapest for commisions, as it is free, but I would not reccomend them due to some of their limitations which I will not delve into and I have heard about reliability issues with them. I am a fan of Tradeking. Their equity trades are 4.95 per trade flat fee. This compares to etrade at 12.99 so during a buy/sell trasaction you are saving about 16 dollars, which is substatial. Etrade lets you do more such as trade forex and in foreign markets, but if you are just starting out chances are you probably won't be doing any of that. Tradeking is very fast, reliable, and has a nice simple/clean interface as well as many valuabe research tools and they are improving the interface all the time. Also their online community is quite good and you can see real trades people are making, the reason they made them, and read their blogs as well.
