Stock Markets Exposed

Do you think the US stock market will continue to plunge?

Or will it level off or rise? Are the bursting housing bubble and high oil prices going to destroy the economy?

Public Comments

  1. It's going to be volatile for awhile. Ups and downs.
  2. We are in a Great Depression! The stock market has been down %6 a year for the past 7 years! If you compensate for the devaluation of the dollar. If the dollar had stayed equal to the Euro unemployment would be well over %30! The government is really pulling one over on the public! Amazing!
  3. The U.S. has entered a danger zone decline recently. We may be seeing a decline of 30% or more. After that decline I believe we will see nice returns in the market this year in Gold, Precious Minerals, Natural Resources and some developing and emerging mkts.
  4. idk if its true, that somewhat the war in iraq contribute to the current state of us economy. For the reason that all the money is spent on financing the war in iraq, that it goes all there instead to those in the us. so i guess it will continue to plunge until they draw the troops from iraq.
  5. thanks for the giggles . Plunge not even , correction yes. housing adjustment and high oil are just adjustments. suggest u get on a budget thou.
  6. Volatility will continue as long as hedge funds and the Federal Reserve continue to boost up the banks and brokerages to keep them from failing as they declare losses. If the market were left alone, it would probably fail to zero! The Fed is in a pickle. The American Dollar is in a pickle, all because of the dishonesty of subprime lending, technology advances that put humans out of work, outsourcing and a flood of common people seeking work.....all of this seeking a way to find worthiness in the average citizen to be able to have income to pay for goods and services in a capitalist society. The worthiness issue is the tough one. Do people have to be "saved" to get the help to survive or are they inalienably worthy as the constitution says? It is gonna be a tough battle. Our candidates for President all have their Christian religious affilitations. I hope they do not oppress those that do not. I hope the religious community keeps their hand out of the pot! Our society is headed for deep deep trouble if it comes down to this!
