  1. well the best arent always the safest, and vice versa. a safe stock will maintain your money, maybe make a little, maybe lose a little.. thats why its safe. IF you want to WIN the hs stock market game, you have to go with high risk stocks... high risk means ya you can lose a lot, but you can also make a ton. I suggest you buy stock in GME, gamestop, the world's largest online gaming company, INVEST NOW, and watch what happens SEPT 25th when HALO 3 comes out! You can thank me later lol. also, try BRK-A, berkshire hathaway (IF your starting money is greater than it's stock price of $120,000 per share) because when BRK-A goes up even an 8th point, its 20Gs in your pocket... Google, (GOOG) Pepsico and Coke are good ones, as are Stores that go into high gear around the holidays, like TARGET, WALMART and things like that. good luck
  2. Well, the stock market game is a little different than real life... In the high school simulation, you are rewarded for taking huge chances and don't feel the pain of them going wrong. That is not how life really works... the best / safest stocks will go up about 10% per year over time... Whoever wins the contest will be up 25%+ in a matter of a few weeks to a few months. Generally, the best way to win the game (which is different than being a good investor in real life), will be to pick a company that has gotten beat up recently, more than it deserves. The price is down a lot in a short period, but it doesn't make much sense. Those probably have a better chance of rebounding to their norm than some random stock going through the roof. Hope that helps! Good luck! Ken Clark Certified Financial Planner
  3. The best stocks to buy at this point in time would be the ones that have maintained or even increased their value when the market was going down. These stocks exhibited relative strength to the market and usually will take off after the market starts back up.Read and learn about technical analysis of the stock market. Good luck to you. Having luck is executing with a prepared mind.
