Stock market game?
We have started to play the stock market game in my finance class. Do you have any ideas for stock that are between 5-20 dollars and are expected to grow quickly? Higher the risk the better! :) Any other good investments are welcome as well!

- If you're looking for high risk, do a search for 'beta' on Yahoo Finance. The higher the beta, the higher the volatility(risk), of course, this means that you could lose a lot also. 1) To do this, go here: http://screener.finance.yahoo.com/newscreener.html and launch the stock screener. 2) Then, under "Click to add Criteria", go to 'Trading and Volume' and choose 'Beta'. Then choose greater than (>) and a number(I put 5, but you may want to lower it)... again the higher the more risk. 3) Then add another Criteria: go to 'Share Performance', and 'Current Price', then choose less than(<) $20. 4) It will show you a list of stocks that fit your criteria and their performance. You may have to do it a few times changing it a little to get the stocks you want to consider. Also, you may want to consider that the companies that made lots of money already, may have already 'topped out', meaning that it's already happened and doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to continue. In real life, you obviously don't invest this way. You do a lot of research on the company themselves. Good Luck.
- AUY It's risky, yet has a good possibility of gaining a lot quickly, which is what you asked for. One that isn't risky because it just wavers around 3.40 or so is SIRI, but if the FCC agrees to a merger with XM Radio, it will go up quickly for at least a very short time. Also you might want to try some of the Chinese stocks, which are also risky, but could also rise very quickly. Pick Chinese stocks that are in the mining businesses or insurance businesses. I can't think of any names right off hand, but I'm sure if you are playing this game you can access the names.
