Can I open an online stock trading account at 17?

I'm 17 years old and have thousands to invest...is there any place I could join?

1. Not legally. Since you are still a minor you cannot invest directly. You can enter into an insurance contract in most states at 16 though. Therefore your best option might be some sort of an annuity that is designed to protect, but allows for investment and returns.
