i was thinking about -investing for dummies- mutual funds for dummies- and - stock market for dummies- stock investin for dummies- and-stock options for dummies- Im a beginer and i've heard "for Dummie's "books are good i only have about $1000 to use for my investing so soething that will teach me about investing within my financial reach

1. Start with Intelligent Investor: A Book of Practical Counsel by Benjamin Graham and Jason Zweig A Random Walk Down Wall Street: The Time-Tested Strategy for Successful Investing by Burton G. Malkiel They're probably at your local library. Don't try to save money on books. One mistake can cost you hundreds of dollars. that's a lot of books. The way to make money is to know more than the person on the other side of the trade.
2. "Rule # 1" by Phil Town Tip, get a copy from the library and if you like it, then buy it
3. When i first started out the dummy series were my first books but honestly they were a waste of money, they teach you absolutely nothing and you'll get nowhere with these shallow books. Ended up throwing them away. Regardless a book i strongly recommend is The Neatest Little Guide to Stock Market Investing by Jason Kelly. And a more advanced read would be the best book on investing The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham.
4. Start with your local library, they have lots of investment books you can borrow for free
5. Without question "A Random Walk Down Wall Street" by Malkiel is the best for beginners. Check it at a big enough library and see what else is nearby on the shelf too.
