Stock Markets Exposed

Stock Market?

Why has the stock market dropped so bad and when will it get better?

Public Comments

  1. It is always a sinus curve. Buy when it is down, sell when it is high. Simple, isn't it?
  2. Because the US is bankrupt. When the US gets out of Iraq, things might get better.
  3. There are many influences, however, the stock market has recently dropped as a result of increasing amounts of defaulting (not being able to pay) mortgages and other loans. Speculation is a large driver of the stock market. You may have heard of the Bear Sterns headlines about the bank not being able to pay its customers their withdrawls because their money was simply locked up in lending and investing they had done, but this created more uneasiness in the market. So, because of people speculating and becoming more cautious, the stock market in general has been on a decline, some days losses sharper than others. The central bank (I'm pretty sure it's called the federal reserve down in the states) has been taking drastic measures as of late to try and upturn the economy (especially after the words 'possible recession' were used) but lots of proper measures are being taken to help fix the economy and get it back on track. Much of the stock market is just speculation, and speculation as of late has not been good.
  4. analyst estimates for the earnings are always too high when the earnings come out and don't make the estimates stock prices drop those analyst are a very optimistic bunch
