Stock Market Crash of 1929?
How did the stock market crash of 1929 effect the global economy?
Public Comments
- It devastated it. Look at what happened GLOBALLY when the Twin Towers were hit and the Stock Exchange was shut down for four DAYS!
- It had a "rippling affect." After Americans lost all their savings and the economy plummeted, foreign nations, mainly trade partners, were affected, and their economies plummeted. This lasted untill the 1940's when the economy got a boost from war-time manufacturing and an increase in demand for goods. (one of these countries was Germany. This hard economic struggle helped Hitler rise to power and blame the tough times on the Jews.)
