Any Advice For Stock Market Game?

I just Got into The Stock Market Game At school and Im just asking if anybody can help me out with any kind of advice since I barely know anything about stocks. -Thanks The Game does work on real time prices. some of the rules http://www.smgww.org/cgi-bin/haipage/page.html?tpl=Administration/game/content_rules As I said, the game IS based on REAL stock changes Some of the rules are basic stock market rules (Market closing times, share minimum, penny stocks are not allowed, and a couple others)

1. We can't see that page, it says we have to log in. If the price isn't real-time, what is it based on? Can you post the rules or tell us how to log in to that site? Depending on the rules may greatly change how you play.... if the teacher is just randomly moving stocks up and down it doesn't matter too much. Read the beginner tutorials on www.investopedia.com for starters definately. Read about Technical Analysis, chart patterns, etc. Look for companies that you know are quality, but have had a recent drop in price. Pick them up cheap and wait for them to go back up.
