Stock Markets Exposed

Has anyone tried robot stock trading systems?

I run a new Stock Picks Group, and am thinking about trying a systematic, or automated stock picking system like this one: http://doublingstocks.com/index-secure.php?hop=songbyrds A few of my friends (who, in the interest of honest disclosure, think these things don't work) just kind of chuckled when I told them about the various systems I've seen after searching Yahoo! Search for a couple of days, but I'm interested in finding a system that will be able to take a raw beginner and help them to make an excellent profit. Thanks for your help - I truly appreciate it! -- Steve

  1. Its foolish, and if you think you're going to make cash that easily, think again.
  2. If the robot systems actually worked the there would be a bazillion "bill Gates" clones running around. I haven't heard of that happening. I designed and built speculation systems for an investment company several years ago. I can tell you that the market gurus swear that the market isn't manipulated. And, for sake of my health and well being I will agree with them. Basically what we did was, instead of forcasting the market, which is impossible, we watched the 9 basic mathematical patterns ("strategies"), and then followed what the "big boys" did, only on a small scale. and, this was the commodities markets, not stocks. We made a few bucks more than we lost. But, we still did lose some money. If any one ever tells you they got a guaranteed system figured out, grab your wallet and run away like your hair is on fire. If someone had a guaranteed way of beating the market, he wouldn't be wasting his time (and potential profits) selling it on the web for $19.95 a pop. If it sounds to good to be true.... It probably is (n't). After all, If i had such an animal, do ou think I would give up 10's of hundreds of millions of dollars by sharing it. No ... I would get mine first, and I am real greedy. Broke, but greedy, and mostly honest.
  3. one of the guys I work with built a robot trading system. He was making about $1,000 per week in an up market, then the markets turned sour and he started losing $1,000 per week. he shut off the robot trader.
  4. Two Economics Noble prize winners created one. They were making 40% a year for a while. Until they went broke. But these guys with their glitzy website are probably smarter, right...
