Stock Markets Exposed

Stock investing and trading?

I am a full time college student and am interested in investing and trading in stock to make a little money on the side (nothing serious). I don't have a lot of money at all (full time college student). Do you think it would be possible to start trading and investing on sites like e*trade, etc with as little money as I have (literally like 300 dollars in my banking account). Any advice?

  1. You can start with Scottrade with $500. Go for it? But be careful.
  2. If you only have $300, you should not be dabbling in stocks. Wait till you're out of college and have a steady income.
  3. You should learn stock market Dont invest and try to make money It is not simple to make money without knowledge
  4. before you do any investing/trading you first should educate yourself. Learn as much as you can about investing - how to do it - the markets - the products and most importantly-money mangement. Start by paper trading, that is trade on paper first using your learnt techniques. See how well you can do. Take a look as MSN.Money.com see what the pro's are doing and what advice they may have. $300 is a little tight, but keep looking into and try, your never too young to start- waiting until you get out of college is not good advice. So start educating yourself. Good luck on your journey
  5. Think about penny stocks. It's the cheapest way at all but the more risk you can face.
  6. With $300 it's pointless to trade in stocks even if a broker let you open an account with it. You can do Forex though. Places such as forex.com let you open up an account for very little money. The trading principles are the same, anyway.
