Stock Investors, what are your favorite trading tools?
What online best helps you to spot potential market opportunities, manage info, and make trading decisions, etc? Ty Thank you all. I absolutely in awe of Ameritrade trading tools daily. Most fascinating, when they make a change to the site (use), instead of feeling annoyed, one flows prefectly into the new better way and sees the perfect logic behind it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. TY all!!

- I have a schwab account, and I fint Market Edge Second Opinion to be the best source for short term trading info
- I am a trader. So for me price action and news are the most important thing for me. I love Yahoo finance, for most basic information and I trade on scottrade which also is great for info. Dow jones newswire, reuters, investors business daily are also very valuable. Motley fool site is good for investing picks. There is so much info out there, use your intuition to lead you to the sites that you like.
- Watch the stocks that interest you. You may have to watch them for months and even years, if they are still of interest. Find a target price to either buy or sell, and stick with it, unless something that affects the company you are watching takes a front seat. If you are young look for price appreciation and growth(Exxon, Microsoft, Citibank). If older look for dividend and growth(AT&T, Verizon, Altria). There are many such stocks for each catagory. Follow what you know, and what is in the news. Be prepared to jump in or out depending on circumstances however, unless you are in it for the long haul. I think the best all-around info comes from CNBC, and money magazines.
- www.stockcharts.com tell them i sent you :D i trade off charts....period you trade the hot news stocks and you're likely to get burnt chasing them.......i trade them but still let the chart tell me when
