What is a good penny stock to invest about $1000.00 in?

I am very new to investing and I would like to know what a good penny stock to invest in? I got a tip that IBC.IQ would be a good one to invest in but it looks very unstable. I have $1000.00 to get started.

1. None. Anything you read about is almost sure to be hyped by someone looking to make a quick buck of later investors in a ponzi scheme.
2. Don't invest in penny stocks you'll most likely lose all your money. Instead learn to trade. If you learn to trade you can make money whether the market goes up or down. You just need to learn some universal and basic rules and develop a system. This site should help you with that.
3. FZN is a great penny stock, remembering that a penny stock is actually any stock under $5.00.
4. I don't think investing in penny stocks is great, unless you know some inside info. on a company that's about to blow up (CC). Go to this site and you could invest fantasy money and improve your skills as a trader (INVESTOPEDIA.com). But if you really want to, do a lot of research and learn as much as you can about whatever stock you are thinking of buying.

6. good penny stock is an oxymoron. I have a hard time believing a hedge fund manager would recommend a nickel stock.
