- You mean global stagflation. Not only will job losses occur, but at least in the U.S. inflation is at a 17-year high. There are other countries such as Australia which are also battling inflation. In a resession, inflation usually drops as companies sell off theri overhead at discounted prices. Here prices are going up which is the half that makes this stagflation.
