Stock Markets Exposed

Does Scottrade handle non-US markets?

can i buy non-US stocks via Scottrade? i want to buy stocks that are listed in Singapore, Hong Kong, Toronto and Frankfurt, among others. i have heard that you can at Charles Schwab (anywhere else?), but i like what i know of Scottrade's prices, but i fear that the cheapness comes at the cost of being limited to the US markets. any comments would be appreciated, thanks!

  1. For an additional fee you can buy some of the Toronto Exchange I believe. As a discount broker, not full-service, there are limits on what they can do for you, but you can call them before being a customer and find out for sure: 1.800.619.SAVE
