Stock Markets Exposed

Just bought a manufacturing firm, and thinking about outsourcing to India...should I?

It was a good deal for us, cause even though the firm was profitable, we can take profits even higher by relocating our manufacturing elsewhere, and bringing the goods back here to market, plus we will have new markets over there too as a result. Its not a big firm, and we would only be giving pink slips to 100 workers in the Cleveland area. We will then invest our new higher profits in the Hong Kong stock market and other foreign investments where things are hot right now.... IS this a good plan?

  1. yes. good plan
  2. you may
  3. If these workers are Union then hell yes I'd do it in a New York minute. Ultimately you have to look out for #1 first because the Unions and Politicians here in the US all want to screw you royally.
  4. You mean you plan to exploit workers (possibly child labor) in India to work long hours, most likely under harsh conditions, for extremely low wages, so that you can increase your profit margin. Meanwhile you plan to lay off 100 workers most if not all that have families to support. Sounds like you care more about your pockets and have no problems sleeping at night. The BEST thing to do isn't always the RIGHT thing to do...
  5. It's a good plan for you, But not so much for Cleavland, or Ohio, or the US. Let's try to help our economy by keeping jobs here in the US!!!
  6. Liberals are always looking for ways to screw American business. So I wouldn't blame any of them for doing just that. The left really does get it. The things you do have consequences. If you aren't careful business will run from your tactics and then where will you work?
  7. NO Three years ago I went to a GOP fund raiser and gave them $8,000. That was the best money I ever invested. They hooked me up with a Military Contract to make clips for belted ammunition. Now I have an open-end contract to make clips, and the money keeps rolling in
  8. Concidering how heavily Cleveland taxes business and industry,I wouldn't blame you. Cleveland has destroyed it's own tax base and driven thousands of jobs elsewhere. Before you go over seas, look around elsewhere in Northeastern Ohio.Streetsboro,Twinsburg,Wadsworth,Barberton are more business friendly. Forget Akron, our tax and spend Mayor will hold you up at pencil point.
  9. Mathematically i'm sure its a great plan. You should give it some time and see if you can make some changes while the company is still here. Not only is it "profitible" for you, but it is also profitible for the local economy. Ask the people who work there if its a good plan. i just wonder why this question was placed in the political forum and not in a business oriented one. oh well, whats another boarded up, closed down plant in Cleveland.
