- I'm going to tell you a little secret that all the teachers and experienced stock brokers will tell you . Buy low , sell high . Remember those four words , not a lot of people do this , and those people end up broke . When stock markets plunge [ which means to go down ] people often sell their homes , and sell their stocks , because they think it's going to get lower so they think , what the hell? , I have to sell it now before it gets any lower . But what do you think happens after the value goes down , sooner or later the value will rise , and all the people who sold their property or whatever they invested in , lose money , and you get way more money for selling it after the value of the stock increased because you bought it when it was not as expensive . For example , lets say I bought 2 lbs. of silver for $200 , lets say thats a horrific buy at that certain time , after awhile it's value has to increase because that's as low as it's value gets . So , you hold onto it and once it's value does increase , you sell it , for more than you bought it for , lets say $400 , while when it was at it's lowest value people sold it for $100 , losing them money , you gained a profit of $200 , now think if you bought 50 lbs , it's the same with stock . Buy low , sell high .
- http://www.morningstar.com is a website that rates mutual funds, and stocks. They have a section of their website with free mini-lessons that cover many aspects of investing, stocks, and the stock market. I don't know the exact location and am too lazy to go there and search myself.
- learn BLSH. it always work...btw, don't let people hear you say that you want to "play" the stock market...using that term shows immaturity and ignorance of sotcks and all other financial markets. it's not a game. it's not gambling. learn to BLSH and you will be financially rewarded.
