Please advice how to get profit in the stock market?

I am Bangladeshi. Recently I opened a B/O account in a broker house of Dhaka stock exchange. From 6 months I read share market page of the daily news paper regularly. Someday ago I bought 30 share of a company & made some profit. But I think I need proper knowledge & information about stock market.In Bangladesh enlisted companies of stock exchange offer good dividend & bonus to thier share holder even though market down & fall occasionally. So please advice me before how many days I should buy secondary share to get profit by AGM.

1. select one or two leading companies in each sector or select the blue chip companies. regularly invest in these companies and hold the shares. by regular investment, the market fluctuations will vanish. it means u will be investing both whenn market is high and when market is low. over a period of time, u will make good profits. this strategy is called- buy and hold. selection of scrips and not timing is imprtant.
2. To add to my fellow boarder's answer, another approach would be to invest through mutual funds. Mutual funds employ money managers who study companies and markets to identify investment opportunities. There are many advantages to using the mutual fund route. In Bangladesh, you should be able to start a mutual fund account with as little as Rs. 1000.
