- I personally like the commodities markets right now. The DOW is due to crash . . . the value of the dollar will drop sharply as the country is riddled in debt. Commodities are a good way to store wealth. Particularly the Silver market. The equities markets and commodities markets go through 20 year cycles and the commodities market are in the 5th year of a bull market. Through history silver is generally 1/16 the price of gold. Right now it's 1/50th the price. In 1980 silver was about $50 per once. People were taking there silverware to dealers to sell it . . . and China and India weren't even a factor in the industrial market for silver back then !!! Most people don't know this . . . but there is more mined gold above ground right now than there is silver . . . pretty soon there will be delivery defaults on silver, and industrial users will start hoarding it . . . skyrocketing the prices. The best way for the common investor to invest in silver is through the ETF called SLV sold by iShares. Other good silver stocks are the mining stocks. Look at SLW and SSRI. I've owned SSRI for about a year now and I'm up about 65% . . . and the metal really hasn't done anything yet. The mining stocks are rallying on the anticipation of the metal going parabolic . . . which it will. This is the beginning of a huge rally in silver. Check it out.
- Ever watch Jim Cramer and Mad Money? Entertaining and, if you do your homework, educational. On one of his recent shows he recommended a couple of sectors for the rest of the year. I believe they were Agriculture and Machinery (??) Aerospace (BA) Oil and Gas (hal) Infrastructure (Fwlt) I'd see if you can find more info. Good luck
