when do you learn about finance stock investing etc?

i'm a teenager, and i was wondering when will you get to learn about all those stuff, on 401k which i dont know what it is, what mutual funds is, and other stuff, like stocks, and bonds

  1. In university they teach you a bit. I work in the financial industry in Canada. The Canadian Securities Course is the most comprehensive course and is required for licensing if you want to be an investment advisor. If you are only interested in mutual funds, there are courses for that too.   2. Some high school classes like economics might touch on investing basics, but you really get into investing in college finance courses. But, you don't need to wait, just go to the library and check out a book on finance or stocks or mutual funds or retirement savings. There are a ton of books there that get as detailed as you want.
