Stock Markets Exposed

What makes a great video game store?

It seems that a lot of the stores in my area have resorted to stocking non-gamer specific products such as DVDs, rockets, trading cards, and energy pills. I think these other distractions pull away from the core reason for the store and detract from the overall experience. So, if you had your own store, what would you put in it to sell? How would you go about attracting non-gamers, leisure/social gamers and the hardcore videophiles alike? What would YOU want in a game store that would make you want to come back for more? Gaming Arenas? Licenced merchandise such as action figures, busts, or posters? Weekly tournaments/leader boards? What exactly would it take to drive you out from the comfort of your couch to a dedicated gaming/social environment? And also, what is it that makes you decide to NOT go to a specific store?

  1. I would just get the widest variety of games possible and only sell games/strategy guides, and hang video game posters around, I go to EB games because they have more games than toys r us and walmart combined
  2. What make a store so great is it's content. If i had a video game/electronic store for instance, i would get some shipments of game systems like the Wii. What I would do is order lots of new AND old games so the people would enjoy the new games, and remember the old ones. What i mean by old ones is like the game: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. I would also get the latest equipment like the I-Phone. I would'nt go to a store if it didn't have the games i want- new or old. PS: I do not own a store and i am youger than you think
