Stock Market Game related to actual stock market.? In economics class, we play the Stock Market Game created by University of Georgia. In the game, we start with 10k and have to invest it, but what most students do is just check http://dynamic.nasdaq.com/dynamic/afterhourma.stm for the most active after hours, buy the one that goes up the most, and sell it the second it goes up. The real stock market isnt like this is it? If it is, why isn't everyone incredibly wealthy? the site is stocksquest.coe.uga.edu The game takes a 10 dollar trade fee. It opens and closes at normal stock market times. I think the biggest difference that I can find (given, I know very little about stocks) is that the game works on a ten minute delay, I believe.

Stock Market Game...? So, my high school does this activity called the SMG (Stock Market Game) What happens is you get 100,000 in virtual money and you buy and sell stocks. My partner and I are in need of help on some of our stocks. Which of these should we sell: BEBE COST SOHU BIOF EBAY FSLR MCD The last four seem to be draggin' us down. Even though the last 3 have just recently been invested. BIOF has been with us for about three weeks now and has increasingly gone down, however the rest are doing quite well. Do I need to sell any? I know that when 20 ma is above 50 ma that the stock might trend up but when you look at a chart in 1 year and it looks like the 20 is below the 50 but then you look at it in 1 month and the 20 is above the 50 what one should I base trading off of? also one more question if 50 is above 20 thats means the trend is going down right? ive been playing a stock market game called stock quest, and there is supposobly a cheat, what is it? there is a free online stock market game called stockquest http://investsmart.coe.uga.edu/C001759/ and my history teacher says he has found a way to cheat the system, he says we can do it to if we find out how, i was wondering if anyone out there knows how to do such a thing, he is using the cheat to take my first place, could someone pleas help? if you can not do it then please give me some good stock choices. okay, our teacher finally explained what his cheat is, the game doesnt take into account aftermarket trading so if you buy a stock after the market closes, then you recieve the previous close. if you do your research and find out a certain stoick has gone up since the previous close, you buy it before the market opens and then you get that quick cash, same with shortselling. the only problem is it is not helpfull to us students because we are in school right before the market opens.
