How can I make numerous stock trades without getting charged like $10 per trade? Hi there. I am getting ready to get into the stock trading game and I was wondering.. how can I make constant trades all day long and not be charged $5-$30 per trade? I am a stay at home mom and I watch the market a lot. I've been playing those virtual money stock games and I am very good at it because as soon as I am up even $100 I trade them and buy new ones, I do that all day long and if it were real money I'd be rich. So I want to do that with real money.. but I did research and i think most websites charge like $10 for each trade. If they did that.. they would have all my profits and it would be pointless.... PLEASE HELP!?!
Is there a trading game online where you can play the markets? A pretend game. One that would reflect what happens in the market, eg you are given X amount of fake money and you can invest it in stocks on, say, the FTSE - obviously not real ones, but just to see how much money you could make in a day. Basically I want to work in a pretend investment bank for a day. Any ideas?
stock - how quick does a stop limit trigger, and actually take effect.? i am fiddling with some stock games, virtual stock trading programs to practice. and ill do a stop order like 1% below and the stop never even goes into effect at all period. and does each trading company have stops that take effect quicker than others like scotttrade vs e-trade. on stop order trades.

How can i market my stock trading stratagy yeilds big money in 5years to lump sum for my initial investment I have a very good stock trading stratagy which will grow as big money in a span of five years. I am willing to sell it for resonable sum which will help as my initial investment to start the game. i can come to their place (at their expense) and give a live proof before taking the money. PLEASE DO NOT ADVISE "wHY DON'T YOU USE YOUR STRATAGY AND MAKE MONEY FOR INTIAL INVESTMENT" WHICH i WILL DO ONLY IF NO PATRONERS TO BUY MY STRATAGY. INFACT A SUMP SUM WILL SAVE MY INTIAL TIME SPEND TO MAKE THAT MONEY BECAUSE IN THE INITIAL STAGES the growth is slow and picks up after 3 years tremendously. it is really a wonderfull stratagy and not like systems sold in the market . I can prove my ability at your place in front of you in a shortest time to make you realise that it is gold.

Does anyone use TRADEKING for online stock purchases? I have been playing the simulator stock "game" with $1000.00, which "charges" $19.99 a trade. It seems to me that if I had a real account, and any time I had a profit of say even $10-15, and could trade for the $4.95 price Tradeking advertises, I would amass little daily profits with which I could play/buy more. Is there some rule I don't know about that one has to keep a stock for a certain period of time? Is what I'm suggesting "daytrading"? Thanks for any info!

Is there a way to have a countdown timer in VBA and show it in the userform? We have a stock market game that we're creating using VBA (Excel) and we need to have a countdown timer. The purpose of the timer is to limit the amount of time the player can participate in the stock trading. When the time is up, no further changes can be made and whatever the action done before the time is up is final. The timer should run from a minute up to 2 minutes, depending on the level. The time remaining should also be seen in the userform, particularly in a label.

Can you trade stocks for freee or under $5 anywhere? I am currently playing the virtual stock games online and I am very good at it. If it were real money I'd be rich. So I was wanting to put some real money to the test. However.. what I've been doing in the "game" is trading stocks constantly as soon as I'm up even $20 or $100 on them then buying something else. This is a LOT of trading all day long. The game doesn't have any fees for trading but all the sites I've seen do. This would definitely affect my profit if I was charged per trade. Can anyone help me?!
What is the cheapest online company to try basic stock buying with? Basically, I'm in my senior year of college, and I know that after next year I'd like to be active in the stock market by investing and small time day trading. Right now though, I'm looking to make a very, very, minimal investment (or a small stock purchase) just to figure out how the online trade game works. What I'm trying to do is put about $100 total into some form or accumulation of multiple penny stocks, and just use it to track a portfolio that has real money involved (simulators, like online poker, do nothing for me - if it isn't real I just don't care). So what I'm looking for is basically a 0 minimum balance site to try out trading with, just to get my feet wet. I know I'll take about a $15 hit per trade even for little to no stock, but its a loss I'm willing to cope with for now. Tips/pointers/etc.? And where to start? Thanks.
Real time stock price? I am newbie in stock market. I using a free game where i get fake $100,000 to play in stock. Now my question is, the price for stocks that i see in that game is 20 minutes delayed (because they have to pay premium for real time quote). Is it the same way when you do real investing with some one like scottrade or anybody like that? I have seen that yahoo, google, etc also gives delayed quote. Also in that site with fake money, when i place an order to buy a stock it keeps my request for 20 minutes before processing. Is it the same way in real stock trading sites? Thanks in advance for the answer Nick
BSE, NSE, Stock Market, Demat A/C, Trading A/C, Fraud/Manipulation? What is demat account? - this question as been answered many times at yahoo. However, i have some more ques to ask: 1) I understand that Demat account is controlled by ndsl / cdsl through their agents (DPs) and holds shares in electronic form. But what is Trading accoun, its structure and function? Who opens and control this account? Is it the broker? 2) Other than the opening charges of demat a/c, are their more charges such as maintenance of demat a/c or other hidden costs. NDSL site gives the details of many DPs with their fees etc in table format (which is difficult to understand). What i thought actually was that i had to pay only broker charges+service tax, when i deal with share market. What may be other hidden costs? 3) What are brokrage charges for intra-day and dilevery that can be considered good enough? 4) How vulnerable is share market (specially intra-day) to the market games/manipulations by some experts or parties having big amounts or many computer terminal Guys, If you cant answer all the parts of my question, you are free to answer portion of it as well.!
Anyone Ever Heard Of This Website Before? Yalicoo...? I found a website called yalicoo. It's an online stock market trading game kind of thing where whoever has the most succesful portfolio at the end of the given time (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.) wins prize money but everyone pays a entry fee to cover that. When you register they have a link to paypal and you have to sign in to verify your account so they can take a dollar out of it. Once its verified they give the dollar back and your not charged. Does anybody know if this site is legit? Ever heard of it before or seen anything about it anywhere else? thanks.

Good stock ideas? I've just recently gotten back into the very addictive stock game. There are a couple that I really like, and wanted to get some other opinions. IFLI - International Fight League This is trading at about $.12 so I found it easy to get a big position with the hopes that the Latin HBO, and Mark Cubans HDNet help boost it's profitability. CFC- Countrywide - Well, i'm a gambling man and i'm hoping that BOA will show a solid get-out-of-debt plan. Shouldn't be too hard since CFC was one of the biggest spenders on internet advertising. That's a pretty big instant save. OPWV - Openwave - I'm kicking myself for this one. I just emailed a buddy about this on Monday to get his opinion because I really liked it. It was at $1.78. I didn't have any cash in my account to buy so I have to wait a couple more days. He bought, and since Monday, it's gone up about 30%. It's at about $2.30 (I didn't see the close today). SIRI- Sirius Radio - This one i'm up in the air. I haven't bought, but the XM buy-out talk really peaks my interest. XM feels confidend that the buy-out will be approved. I would probably buy this one, and hang on until at least the end of the year. Let me know what you guys think!! Also, feel free to add some favorite picks.

A few questions on stocks...? Hello everybody, First of all thank you for taking time and looking at my post. This semester I have taken international finance class, in which we are playing a stock game throughout the semester. To be short, all students should buy one stock each week. And at the end we will count who earned the most money. So, what should I consider while buying a stock? And, while selling? I'm asking for the most common intuitive answers, not expert analysis... And also, where can I get data on stocks traded on Korean Stock Exchange. Thank you..
How do I choose the strike price at which I buy the option? Let me make the following example: I want to buy call options for the stock "JRJC". I believe that the price of the stock will definitely go up. Now the problem is in this scenario that I can only invest in this stock for about 2 days since I am playing a stock simulation game that ends this Friday. The stock is currently trading at $26-$27, but the strike prices for the options are at either $25 or $30. Which one should I choose if I believe that JRJC will go up, but will not surpass the $30 mark by Friday. Also, what exactly does the terminology "in the money" and "out of the money" mean? Thanks for any answers
Career in Finance.. Stock Brokers? I've really been thinking hard lately about what I want to major in next year at college, and mostly what I want to do for a career.. I just started a finance class at school, and we're doing a lot of investment stuff, including a lot of stock market stuff.. I have really picked up quickly on the stock market and have enjoyed doing a lot of "play" trading in our class game. And I'm seriously considering possibly majoring in Finance next year.. What do you people think about majors and careers in finance? I know its really hard to get your foot in the door as a stock broker, but I honestly think I would be fine, I'm pretty well connected. thanks!
Why is my AMSWA stock down when they posted quaterly gain???? This is ridiculous! Im somewhat new at this but...jeez. It doesn't make any sense. Im thinking stock is a crazy mans game. They posted quaterly gains and their share was 7 vs. an estimated .05!! This is shite What is the deal??? I watched in after hours trading and it went from 11.72 to 10.20 with hardly any volume difference. Why is that???
What do you think of my college essay? Specific advice as well as general commentary is helpful.? Prompt: Our students are widely known to possess a sense of intellectual vitality. Tell us about an idea or an experience you have had that you find intellectually engaging. I was first introduced to the stock market by my father. He liked to talk to me about how his portfolio was doing; even though I understood little of what he said. At the time, (I must have been in 6th or 7th grade) the stock market failed to capture my interest. I didn’t understand what made the market work, or even why it was needed. For some time, I was perfectly content to live in ignorance. Early in my freshmen year, I overheard some students at my high school talking about how they were going to make a fortune by trading in stocks. They used several terms I didn’t know, and I went home that day determined to expand my knowledge on the subject. My first resource on the stock market was the internet. After a few days of research, I had a rudimentary grasp on the principles behind the stock market. I learned that price was dependent on how highly investors value a company. I learned about initial public offerings, and why stocks existed in the first place. Most importantly, I realized that the stock market could be beaten by using superior logic. It wasn’t long after I discovered the stock market that I decided to try my hand at it. One of the sites that I had gotten information from also happened to have a fantasy stock market game. I joined, and bought my initial portfolio; which consisted of three familiar companies. The next day, I rushed home after school to see how I did—all three stocks were up. All I could think about was that I had been right three times out of three. My exuberance was short lived. By about a month into the simulation (and many trades later) I was down substantially. To me, being down in the simulation only meant that I had to learn more before I could win. I began reading books on the market and started following it every day. Now, in my senior year, I am up over 90% in the simulation. The stock market has become one of my favorite concepts to think, read, and theorize about.

I am thinking of investing in stocks. Any advice, warnings, or suggestions? I already invest in other places that are stable for retirment but would like to start researching stocks and possibly investing. Where is the best place to do research? What should I look for in a good stock? How do I get to the e*trade game that might give me some practice? What is the best way to limit the risks involved in stocks? What is the best place to purchase stocks?
What makes a great video game store? It seems that a lot of the stores in my area have resorted to stocking non-gamer specific products such as DVDs, rockets, trading cards, and energy pills. I think these other distractions pull away from the core reason for the store and detract from the overall experience. So, if you had your own store, what would you put in it to sell? How would you go about attracting non-gamers, leisure/social gamers and the hardcore videophiles alike? What would YOU want in a game store that would make you want to come back for more? Gaming Arenas? Licenced merchandise such as action figures, busts, or posters? Weekly tournaments/leader boards? What exactly would it take to drive you out from the comfort of your couch to a dedicated gaming/social environment? And also, what is it that makes you decide to NOT go to a specific store?
